Elizabeth Worley - Author Portrait
“I did not know that in the process I would finally become the woman I had always wanted to be.”
Elizabeth Worley lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina for over 25 years and divided her time between her psychotherapy practice, writing, development work for women's crisis centers and raising her family. Seeking both adventure and opportunity in the second half of life, she said "good-bye" to the comfort of her familiar mountains, and "hello" to the exotic, remote mountains of Panama. She did not know that in the process she would finally become the woman she had always wanted to be. Elizabeth now lives in the central highlands of the Republic of Panama, where she grows organic coffee and medicinal herbs. Together with her partner Dianne, she co-founded Cloud Forest Botanicals, a small, woman-owned business handcrafting herbal tinctures and creams. She has traveled to China, Australia, England, Scotland, Mexico, Peru, Spain, Portugal, France, Chile, and Morocco. In 2017, she and Dianne walked the entire 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago.
